Your wedding day is probably just around the corner, and all the preparations before your big day are in place. Now all you have to do is focus on the things that you will require on the D-day. We are here to help you with that!
Here are important tips given by Madonna, a super talented Makeup Artist who has worked with several brides over the years and has hands-on experience in the wedding industry. What better than insider information from the expert herself!
1. Hydrate
It goes without saying that, on your wedding day, there will be a few unexpected things that will crop up which may cause you to go spiraling. We can’t stress enough how important it is to hydrate yourself to keep these wedding jitters at bay. A warm cup of Chamomile, peppermint or green tea can definitely go a long way in keeping your mind calm and fresh all day.
2. CTMS
To avoid having a cakey look, don’t forget to Clean, Tone, Moisturize and apply Sunscreen on your face before you get started with your makeup. Toning your face frees your pores of the excess oil and leaves your skin looking radiant. Using the right moisturizer for your skin type can prevent the skin from becoming extremely dry or oily. Also, don’t forget to midly exfoliate your lips for some extra care.
3. Waterproof Products
If you wish to look flawless all night long, waterproof makeup is the way to go. These products are long lasting as they have been specially formulated to resist moisture which leaves them unaffected by water. You would probably be applying makeup in the afternoon and you’d want to keep it intact all day. That is why we suggest that when you go shopping for makeup products for your Christian Wedding, you should look out for waterproof ones.
4. Carry your essentials
Every makeup needs a little touch up time and again to retain its elegance and flawlessnes. You should definitely keep the following products in your bag when you are packing your things for your wedding day.
Lipsticks: They are your bestfriends. They can be used as a blush, shadow or lip shade as and when required.
Compact Powder: A good compact powder is essential for oily skin and to get rid of any excess shine on your face.
Mist: A mist or a mini setting spray can work wonders to keep your face from looking dry or cakey. It will help your skin to be moist and fresh throughout.
Highlighter: Who doesn’t need an extra glow time and again!
Waterproof Kohl: A small swipe on the eyes can literally ruin the liner and cause it to smudge. In such cases, a waterproof kohl will really do the job of getting your look back on track.
Beauty Blender: If you’re using any of the products, it is best to blend it with a beauty blender instead of your fingers. This will not only keep your hands free from makeup stains but also let the product seep into the skin without leaving streaks or getting wiped off.
5. Find the right balance
Balancing your makeup look is crucial. If you are going for a smokey eye, go light on the cheek and lip. If you wish to flaunt a bold lip colour, try balancing the pop of colour with a subtle eyeshadow. Follow this mantra, and you are sure to grab everyone’s attention as you walk down the aisle.
6. Carry Breath Mints
Everyone in the crowd will be super excited to meet you personally and give you their best wishes on your big day. And so, you have got to make sure that they have a pleasant experience talking to you! Don’t forget to keep some mints on you so that you can pop em as and when required. Now no one can stop you from giving that million dollar smile!
